How to stay healthy on vacation

I know a lot of people cheats with food while on vacation. I’ll give you some tips how to stay healthy!

#1 Choose grilled chicken, if you are going to a restaurant and want to eat something that’s not fully vegan. Grilled chicken is way more healthier than for example fried chicken, because grilled chicken has less fat.

#2 Find activities, like gym, ice skating or swimming. You can do cardio way more funnier way than you usually do at home. Even running in a new place is funnier than home.

#3 Sleep well, even though you are on vacation and doing important stuff and going out etc… Sleeping will burn fat and it makes your metabolism work properly.

#4 Have always water and small snack with you, in case you get hungry. When you are starving, you can have a little protein bar instead of going to eat something unhehalthy. You can also go to a restaurant or have salad for lunch, but when you’re hungry, you might want to go to McDonald’s.

#5 Do your workout, because skipping workout just for that is not good, if you have place where to do it. Skipping workout will become a habit if you do it few times just because you are lazy. Yeah i have tried. 😀

If you're looking for a little inspiration to help with your fitness and weightloss goals, this collection of 25 fitness motivation quotes will give you the boost you need. I chant # 10 to myself daily, and # 19 makes running on the treadmill seem less painful. ;):

How to pack light!♥ (spa/skiing trip edition)

Hello darlings! ♥ As some of you know, i’m going on a short vacation on friday, i decided to make some sort of list of what to pack!

nkjnoplö

So i am going to Vuokatti. It is small place in Finland, where you can do lots of activities since tourism is biggest thing in there. You can for example go to spa, go bowling, ski and lot of other things! But i am going to the spa and skiing only, because i’m staying only for the weekend.

You’ll be needing all your personal stuff, like your make up, shampoo and stuff you use on a daily basis. Besides that, i suggest you to take some lotions that will protect your skin from cold.

Clothing

#1 Long sleeved fleece, when it gets cold, you can wear this under your skiing jacket and it’s easy to take off if you’re hot.

#2 Long sleeved shirt under that fleece. As i mentioned above, you can take fleece easily off and you stil have something long sleeved, so you’re not going to freeze.

#3 T-shirt and warm leggings under those mentioned above. T-shirt isn’t so important, but leggings are. Layering is number one of winter clothing!

#4 wool socks, you don’t want your toes to fall off.

#5 Swimwear,  obviously, if you’re going to spa after ski, like i love to do.

#6 Scarf, 2 actually; One which you can wear on top of jacket and one thin like tube to cover your face. You’ll look like a gangster, but you also don’t want your face to die, do you?

Equipment

#1 Skis or snowboard, obviously.

#2 Poles

#3 Helmet and goggles, to cover your head and eyes.

#4 Mittens or even more warm gloves.

#5 Warm jacket and pants, definitely, wind is very cold during wintertime.

#6 Towel, if you can’t get one from spa and it’s nice to have own towel and go to shower.

#7 warm shoes, and i suggest other, like fancier shoes depending on the place where you’ll be staying.

#8 Light backpack, if you’re staying longer outside.

#9 Hat, one warm and one thin under the helmet.

Random

#1 Sunglasses, when it gets sunny, snow will be very bright and it may damage your eyes if you don’t wear them.

#2 Earphones, I like to listen music while skiing, so it’s nice to have earphones with you.

#3 Phone charger and power bank, if your phone is almost dead and you need to call, it’s good to have power bank and charger with you.

Those are the “must have’s” and you might want to pack other clothes or items too. I suggest you to have one or two pairs of jeans depending on how long you’re staying. You should take also 2-3 nice shirts and atleast one cardigan. And if you need to pack light, then think about what clothing items will look good together and you save lots of space!

My shopping day! +story

Hello darlings! I decided to write every tuesday something that has happened in my life recently.

So yesterday was pretty awesome day! I was shopping with my boyfriend and decided not to spend lots of money and buy only useful things. As i did (for the first time ever). I was going to post yesterday, but i was watching world championship of ice hockey…. AND FINLAND WON YAY!

I bought myself new yoga mat and i could say it’s the best mat i’ve ever had! I also bought yoga pants from H&M.

And to the story. I was in town and it was -20 celsius degrees cold! Me and my boyfriend were freezing when we had to walk over town. Then my mom called me that she’s going to pick us up and we’re in a hurry, because she had flat tire in her car. So as she parked to the mall’s parking lot, she had so flat tire that she couldn’t drive anymore and we kinda knew it was broken.

We called to our friends and family if they can help us. Then one answered and came to help! He fixed our tire a little bit so mom could drive it to the service station. And in the service station there were nicest costumerservice i’ve ever met! They changed our tire to new one and we got free hot chocolate and coffee! Thank you Vianor!!

So i had very interesting day! We laughed all the time to that tire situation, because it was hilarious! On friday i’m going on small vacation, so on sunday you’ll be reading some tips to stay active and healthy on vacations!

Frozen banana ice cream

On my last post i forgot to tell you guys that i’m a Popster! If you don’t know what it is, here have a short information: Popster is someone who does Cassey Ho’s workouts from blogilates. Popster is kind of a fan of hers. I suggest you to go see her site here. And i was inspired her recipes, so i will share my version of her banana ice cream! This is high-protein food and peanuts give you some good fats!

Ingredients:

You’ll need one medium banana or two small bananas for one serving. Also you’ll need peanuts if you want.

How to:

Then cut bananas to small coins like i did and put them into freezer for few hours. I had my bananas 2-3 hours in the freezer, but if you want it to be thicker, i suggest to keep them longer in there.

Then i added bananas and peanuts to my blender and mixed them together. I served it with some cashew peanuts, and it was sooo delicious!
